Notifications

PhonePOS notifications are treated as APIs by certifiers; therefore, we provide this information in our API documentation.

To ensure swift payment processing, PhonePOS operates in the background and displays a persistent notification to prevent the Android system from terminating the process. This notification consists of multiple sub-notifications.

Monitoring notification

The monitoring notification informs the user about the terminal's payment readiness. It displays the time of the last attestation, the current status - such as GREEN (Payment possible) or RED (Payment not possible) - and whether the terminal is currently operational.

Terminal notifications

All the following notifications are used to keep the terminal in the background.
This mechanism does enable us to process payments quickly without a long startup time.
