Notifications

PhonePOS notifications are treated as APIs by certifiers; therefore, we provide this information in our API documentation.

To ensure swift payment processing, PhonePOS operates in the background and displays a persistent notification to prevent the Android system from terminating the process. This notification consists of multiple sub-notifications.

Monitoring notification​

The monitoring notification informs the user about the terminal's payment readiness. It displays the time of the last attestation, the current status - such as GREEN (Payment possible) or RED (Payment not possible) - and whether the terminal is currently operational.

Terminal notifications​

All the following notifications are used to keep the terminal in the background. This mechanism enables us to process payments quickly without a long startup time.
