Incident processing

In the earlier chapters we wrote about possible threat scenario detections. This chapter is concern with the response if a threat scenario is detected.

Automated reporting

Upon detecting a threat, PhonePOS immediately reports the incident to the attestation service. The terminal's processing is halted, and details of the incident are recorded for further analysis.

Automated reset

After reporting the incident, PhonePOS will delete all sensitive data from the terminal in a reset action. No further transaction is possible with the terminal. To verify this state, use the getStatus() command via TerminalHelperService.

Automated display of the landing page

To inform the user of the detected security incident, a landing page will be displayed on the device. For customization of the landing page information, please contact our integration support team.

Recovery after an incident

You can personalise the terminal again after an incident. Please note that if the threat is still present, PhonePOS will continue to enforce its security measures and again trigger a detection.
